A very high ratio is not automatically good

Below about 1.0 a business may struggle to meet its obligations. Above 3.0 often means capital sitting idle in receivables or stock that could be invested or returned. The quick ratio matters more in businesses with slow-moving inventory, because stock cannot pay a bill this week.
