Triangular planting fits 15% more

Offsetting alternate rows lets each plant sit in the gap between two others, so rows can be 0.866 of the spacing apart instead of the full distance. It is the same hexagonal packing that honeycomb uses, and it is the densest arrangement of equal circles that exists.

Running short costs more than over-ordering
